What’s In My Makeup Bag?

Hello again. Today I am going to be showing you what is inside my everyday makeup bag. I have an entire drawer full of compartmentalized makeup (if you would like a tour of it, please let me know), but I have a makeup bag which I just throw into my bag on the way out of the door. This is what I take with me on a daily basis, to school, on days out and to other occasions so I can touch up my face whenever I need to. Enjoy…

This is my makeup bag. I believe it is from Primark, but I got it as a gift, so I am not sure of the price exactly. I love the size because it is big enough to hold all my stuff, but it isn’t so big that it can’t fit in my handbag. It has two large compartments both of equal size. I tend to keep makeup in one pocket and ‘female essentials’ go in the other section.

To start with the boring, I have a mini packet of Kleenex original tissues. You can pick these up in packs of 6 at most pharmacies, and they are so useful, especially for those unexpected no-toilet-paper-in-the-public-loo situations!

Next is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 005 Silky Beige and the powder brush that I use to apply it. I got this brush a while ago from friend and I have absolutely no idea where it is from, but it is really soft and doesn’t shed at all. I love the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder as a touch up because it takes any excess oils and shine right off my face really quickly and it gives me a tiny bit of extra coverage too.

Next is the Collection Lasting Perfect Concealer in Medium 3. I cannot stop raving about this product. It gives such great coverage, and it is quite long-lasting. It doesn’t break me out and it is a very good match for my skin colour. Check out this product in my MyPick#1 here.

This is the L’Oreal SuperLiner Gelmatic. I love the true blackness of this eyeliner, and I use it to line my waterline and tightline as it gives my eyes a really defined look. I do have a bit of trouble with this wearing off though. Do you have any black liners that really stay put in the waterline?

Next is the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast mascara. I absolutely love this, and I have been using it so much recently. It leaves my lashes looking amazing, but it doesn’t clump and it is very buildable depending on whether you want a full on or a more understated look. Check out a full review on WhatSheDoesNow here, she echoes my thoughts on this exactly!

Then I have the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 001 Honey. I love the colour of this, and it is quite creamy as well as being pigmented. I love to wear this at the weekends when I want to add a bit more colour, without going overboard. Although I love this, it taught me to smell all products before purchase, as this has an overwhelming smell of mint, which I had not realised when I bought it. I don’t mind it though, and you can’t smell it when it’s on your lips.

I wear this almost every single day at school, it is the Maybelline BabyLips in Cherry Me. It gives a nice warm berry red tint to your lips, but it is very sheer and super moisturising so it works well for school.

I love to have a Vaseline in my makeup bag as it is a great way to moisturise your lips on the go. I have the Aloe Vera one in my bag at the moment and I absolutely love the smell. It smells of pears and freshness!

Finally I have this super cute compact mirror from Accessorize. I love the pretty and very dainty pattern on the outside, and it clips shut nicely – which can be a failure with some cheap compact mirrors. I’m also glad it has two sides, one is normal view, and the other is a more magnified view, which is great for applying lippy on the go!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed. If you would like an in-depth review of any of the products mentioned above, please leave a comment below. I would just like to apologize for the chaos that was my Liebster Award post. I posted it on Saturday evening, and then took it down again to edit some major mistakes (sorry Izzie) and I have not been able to correct it as my laptop is having problems saving it. I hope to get it up as soon as possible, but for the moment I am going to continue with my planned posting schedule. Check in tomorrow at 18:00 (GMT) for my MyPick#2, which is on Dry Shampoo. Bye x

You’re welcome. It’s great to find someone with similar makeup thoughts, I know that I will almost always like the profits you review well! The Rimmel stay matte is amazing, but it can leave your skin a little tight. I have combination skin, so I tend to use it on my oilier days. It’s definitely worth it though. 🙂 x
