Summer Essentials!

After seeing Catherine do this post, I thought I’d have a try. I love to read this sort of post, so why not? Enjoy…

My first is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. I have been going on about this product a lot on the blog recently, but I am in love with it. I really like the consistency and the coverage, and it adds a gorgeous glowy look to your skin. I use it for under eye concealing, but you could also use it to highlight a little too.

I also love the Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara for summer. I have it in the waterproof formula, so it is sweat and swimming-proof. I don’t love the effect the actual mascara gives my lashes, but I love the formula and the wand – so I often apply another mascara to get my desired look, and then I go over the top with this to create a waterproof layer. It actually works, and lets me get the look and the protection I want.

My next Summer Essential is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cool and Crisp. Every beauty blogger and their cat has tried these products – and I love them. It gives me a quick refresh between washes, and although the white residue can be a bit of a nightmare, I still use this regularly.

My favourite for de-frizzing my hair is the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Perfecting Crème. This doesn’t weigh my hair down, but it tones down my frizz without making my curls flop. It says it’s suitable for straight or curly styles, and I think it works really well.

I love the St Ives Apricot Body Scrub to keep my legs lovely and smooth for the summer. I use this once or twice a week, and it gives me a really nice smooth sensation on my legs. I’m not a fan of the scent, but it isn’t so strong that I can’t get past that.

My last summer essential is the Dove Summer Glow moisturising lotion in Medium – Dark. This is a gradual self-tanner, that is meant for all-year round use. I only recently bought it (comment if you would like a fashion and beauty haul?!) and I really like it. It is super moisturising and it gives my body a subtle shimmer. It is hard to tell if it is really tanning yet, but I like it so far.

Thanks for reading. If you would like full reviews of any of these products, do let me know. What are your Summer Essentials? Let me know in the comments…

🙂 xx

Hahah the Indian thing happens to me too😂 the face scrub is absolutely fantastic. So worth it! I don’t mind the scent, I mean it doesn’t linger so I’m not too fussed!xx

Do you have Indian family? Ooh, I will definitely check it out. I guess, I’m just not a fan of the scent. It isn’t too strong though, so it’s ok. I should so be revising right now. I just popped online to schedule a post for tonight, but I’m easily distracted!!! xx

Loved this post and all these products look great. Might have to try the Dove Summer Glow Lotion, a few weeks ago I spent all weekend in the sun and I was still so pale but I don’t want to go as far as a fake tan, being in Essex I’ve seen too many ones gone wrong. I’ve also been meaning to try a Maybelline mascara for a while, most bbloggers love them xx

Thanks! It was inspired by yours 🙂 It is lovely. I was scared to do fake tan too, but this just works like a soft shimmer. With time I guess it builds up the colour. Great moisturiser as well. I only have the Rocket Volume one, but it is lovely, and super waterproof – though a bit of a nightmare to remove!!! Hope you’re having a lovely time en Paris! Enjoying the gorgeous Instagrams 😀 xx

They are very useful, and summer must haves. Aw, I’m sure you’re very happy to return to beautiful cold wet England. Meant to be some nicer weather over the weekend!! That would be lovely, I’d love to be all mosey about your trip… Xx

Writing it now. Sadly I can’t enjoy the weather as I’m going to be revising, got another science GCSE next week and because of Paris I’ve barely revised :/ xx
